Rio Salado College Adult Education offers online GED ® test preparation classes to prepare students for the GED ® test. These classes cover the four subject areas of the test: Science, Social Studies, Mathematical Reasoning, and Reasoning through Language Arts. The online GED ® test prep classes are open to all students regardless of residency status and are taught in English. Registration: There is a $125 charge for the online preparation class, plus $85 plus tax to purchase the access code to the required online learning system from MyFoundationsLab. Note: Completion of a GED ® test prep class does not guarantee that a student will pass the GED ® test. Required Materials The purchase of an access code is required in order to be able to log on to MyFoundationsLab. The cost of the access code is approximately $85 plus tax and can be purchased from the Rio Salado College Bookstore at 480-517-8710. Registration and access code fees are subject to change. Class Information MyFoundationsLab is accessed through the Rio Salado College portal called RioLearn. Once enrolled in the online GED ® test prep class, students will have access to RioLearn for a period of 14 weeks.
Students are expected to complete all coursework within the 14-week period. Students who have not completed the class within the 14-week period may re-enroll for another 14-week period upon payment of an additional $125 to continue the class. GED ® Test Information All testing must be done at an official testing center. The test is computer-based.
